Conciliation
We have agreed on dates for conciliation to begin, it will be October 23 & 24, 2025. This will involve the conciliator meeting with both the union and the company to try to bridge the divide and reach a settlement to be voted on by members.
These conciliation dates are after the membership meeting and strike vote being held October 7 & 8, so we ask that members come out and vote to support the efforts to reach the best collective agreement possible.
Why can’t more detailed updates about bargaining be shared?
During bargaining, we often hear from members who want detailed updates on the progress we’re making at the table. We understand why you want to know what’s happening, but it’s important to remember that some of the bargaining process is confidential. This is an agreement with the employer, and it prevents us from sharing specifics about the proposals they present. We are able to share with members what we present and our positions on matters, and we do report to members when we can.
You’ve elected your bargaining committee to represent your interests, and they will do their best to negotiate a strong agreement. Please feel free to reach out to a member of the committee if you have questions or concerns. Rest assured, your voice matters, and nothing is finalized without your approval. Any tentative agreement must be voted on and ratified by the membership, ensuring that the final decision is a democratic one.
Membership Meeting and Strike Vote
The membership meeting and strike vote announcement is printed below. Posters will be going up soon.
