The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour’s annual Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Conference is a key opportunity for unionized workers to expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and stay current on the latest OHS issues impacting workplaces across the province.

This year’s conference runs from Monday, September 15 at 11:00 AM to Wednesday, September 17 at 12:00 PM at the Delta Downtown Saskatoon.

Seats in each course are limited and filled on a first registered, first preference basis. A completed registration form and payment are required to secure your spot. If your first-choice course is full, you will be placed in your second or third preference as selected on your form.

2025 Course Options

Each course runs for the duration of the conference. Full descriptions are available in the brochure.

▪️ Prevention of Violence in the Workplace
Learn how joint OH&S committees can assess and reduce risks related to violence in the workplace, including how to implement a violence prevention policy.

▪️ Occupational Health and Safety for Retail Workers
Focuses on the unique safety needs of retail environments—including tools to address both physical and mental health risks.

▪️ Domestic Violence in the Workplace
Equips union reps to recognize warning signs and support members experiencing domestic violence, including how to address the issue through collective bargaining.

▪️ Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Learn how to use OHS legislation to your advantage and stay informed about recent updates to provincial regulations.

▪️ Building Psychologically Healthy Workplaces
Covers the CSA Standard on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, strategies for creating safer environments, and understanding today’s mental health landscape.

▪️ History of Occupational Health & Safety
Gain a deep understanding of Saskatchewan’s proud role in establishing the three worker rights: the right to know, to participate, and to refuse unsafe work.
