Facing a dismissal can feel final, but GSU members don’t have to accept unfair decisions without support.

This autumn, one of our staff representatives has advocated for GSU members to challenge what the union believes to be unjust terminations—recovering nearly $100,000 in payouts and settlements from employers to affected workers.

These outcomes didn’t happen by chance, and they wouldn’t have been possible if those members hadn’t reached out to the union for help in the first place.

We can’t fight for you if we don’t know what’s happening. While wrongful dismissals carry higher stakes, our reps resolve everyday workplace issues across the board—from disciplinary warnings and schedule disputes to wage errors and harassment.
